this is my 100th post and it's a happy one! i've been going through the application and interview process for the PEACE BOAT and i just found out that i got the job. YAAYYYY!! i will be traveling around the world (20 countries) for three and a half months on a cruise ship as a volunteer English teacher.

--my blog just might be getting a whole lot more interesting.--

the peace boat is "a Japan-based international non-governmental and non-profit organization that works to promote peace, human rights, equal and sustainable development and respect for the environment". basically it's like any other cruise you'd go on for holiday but instead of dance shows and a casino there's guest educators from across the globe doing workshops and giving lectures, language classes and cultural programs. so i will be one of the 15 teachers that teach English (there are also two Spanish teachers) to the passengers who have enrolled in the program on days that we are at sea.

more good news-- i got my point and shoot camera back from repair and i ordered a digital SLR. i'm back on-line!
